Outpatient Therapy

Outpatient Therapy

This is an in-office therapy service provided to children, adolescents and adults with a mental health diagnosis.  Clients can meet in individual, family, or group sessions to work towards treatment goal areas based upon each client’s needs and can include symptom reduction, social skills, integrating into a more independent life, career counseling, community referrals, psychoeducation of diagnoses, or anything the family and client decide is clinically relevant to their success. We provide several therapy modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and currently have clinicians being trained in Play Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).  Services are provided by Licensed Professional Counselors, master’s level and bachelor’s level clinicians.  We currently have outpatient therapy in our DuBois, Brookville, Emporium, Punxsutawney and Clearfield Offices.

Note: Telehealth appointments also available.

Adults with Autism

This is an in-office service designed for assisting clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder transitioning into adulthood. It may include specific curriculum and activities to work on functioning and practicing skills independently.

Trauma Focused Outpatient Therapy

This an in-office therapy service provided to clients whom have suffered a significant trauma in their lives.  We use trauma informed care and clinicians are trained and certified through the International Association of Trauma Professionals (IATP).  As this is a specialized service, a client may have trauma focused therapy in conjunction with another service such as IBHS.

Outpatient Therapy Process

The first step is calling to make a referral in which general information is taken and an intake is scheduled. At intake, the initial treatment plan is created after discussion of areas of concern. Frequency of treatment and the plan for wellness is agreed upon by client and therapist and set into motion.
